Nature's Image Photography Workshops and Tours

Panasonic Lumix G9

The Panasonic Lumix G9 is one of the most feature-packed and customisable cameras on the market. That’s great but it can also mean a steep learning curve, particularly for people who haven’t owned a mirroless camera before.

This workshop is to help you understand the camera better, and get it working for you – the way you want it too. Through my many Youtube videos I have made it my business to get to know this camera better than most. That includes rearranging dial functions to suit my preference, assign chosen settings to the custom function buttons, and even begin to understand how to use VFR video – something I would never have dreamed of just a few years ago.

So – I have created a special workshop, exclusive to G9 users. This will NOT be a regular feature in my workshop calendar. I will run this workshop very occasionally and perhaps only once depending on demand. So check the details below and BOOK NOW!

**PLEASE NOTE** After the first Lumix G9 workshop, additional workshops will only be scheduled if there is sufficient demand. Please contact Andrew with your expression of interest…your name on the list might be the one we are waiting for to set a new date.

Itinerary

Ben Bennett Bushland Park, Caloundra
10.00am
Workshop Start
The workshop begins at 10.00am (try to arrive a little earlier if possible). Our first session will be a big Q&A where you can ask any questions you have about the operation of the G9...things you don't understand, and things you might like to change. This will be a great learning experience for everyone because the question someone else asks might be a real eye-opener for you too. I will show you some of the functions I have customised and show you how to do the same if you want to.
12-30pm
Lunch
We take a one-hour break for lunch. There are no shops at Ben Bennet Park but so you might like to bring your lunch with you. Alternatively, it's only a few minute's drive to a number of options including Stockland Shopping Centre. We all meet back at the park for the afternoon session.
1.30pm
Afternoon session
There will be time to ask any questions and get more help getting your functions set up the way you like. Now for some practice! Have some fun with a high-speed action project, shot using the Super High Speed Pre-Burst function, and some slow motion video for those who want to give it a try. With that done, there may still be time to go hunting birds in the bushland walking trail. There is no scheduled end time for the workshop...it ends whenever you are ready to go home.
WHERE WE MEET, WHAT TO BRING
FURTHER INFORMATION
At least a week before the workshop, Andrew will send you more information on when and where to meet, what to bring etc. If you have any questions prior to the worskhop, feel free to get in contact. If wet weather intervenes, the workshop will be rescheduled to the next possible date.
Terms & Conditions:

Price for the Panasonic Lumix G9 workshop is $145.00 per person. There are no discounts for multiple bookings as we already offer exceptional value for money compared to other workshops. Your place at the workshop is reserved the moment you place your booking, but payment in advance is required to finalise the booking. Most people pay when they make their booking; you can choose to pay later if you wish. However your booking is not considered final until payment is made, and if a workshop is sold out and we have a waiting list, you will be asked to confirm the booking through payment, or the place may be offered to the next person on the list. There are no refunds for non-attendance, but if you genuinely cannot make it to the workshop on the date you have booked, you can transfer to another workshop at a later date. When your booking is complete (paid) you will receive information on where we meet, what to bring etc.

Testimonials

  • You taught me how the soft light of dawn or the golden light of late afternoon can add a touch of magic to an image. You taught me the importance of taking control of what my camera is doing. You brought my fuzzy ideas about composition into clear focus. And you inspired me to take up my camera and shoot, to get up and have a go.
  • Andrew is a perfect presenter. Explains things clearly and at a level perfect for my comprehension.
  • Thanks for a great PRACTICAL workshop ! I have always been afraid of the big “M” on the camera – but not anymore!
